Sofia Mumtaz M.OMSc

I have been an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner since 2016 and have enjoyed building a practice I am passionate about. I found Osteopathy after a car accident. I suffered from a lot of congestion and cold/flu symptoms which usually turned into a sinus infection causing me to go on antibiotics monthly. I had more bad days than good and could barely leave my room weeks at a time. Month after month I kept getting the same response that I have an infection and the only thing I could do is go on antibiotics to get rid of it. After about a year I got fed up, I had came across Osteopathy and began getting treatments weekly. After just a couple of treatments my symptoms quickly disappeared and I have rarely been on antibiotics since. I had terrible whiplash which caused an imbalance in my body. I immediately decided that I wanted to impact lives for the better the same way mine was.

I found my way to treating pre/post natal and infant/children by joining with Mamma to Mommy Holistic Care. This is where i found a true passion for treating this population. As a mother of 2 I have suffered the pre/post partum body difficulties first hand.

I am well rounded in different treatments required to treat the full population not just mothers/children!

Aranniya-Osteopathic Manipulative Practitioner

Aranniya is an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner and recent graduate of the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy, where she completed her studies in April 2026.

Her interest in osteopathy grew from a genuine curiosity about the human body - how it moves, adapts, compensates, and responds when something feels off. Through her osteopathic education, she developed a deep appreciation for the way the body functions as an interconnected whole, where pain or discomfort in one area may be influenced by restrictions or imbalances elsewhere.

Aranniya’s approach to treatment is calm, gentle, and attentive. She takes the time to listen to each patient’s concerns, understand their history, and assess the body as a whole. Her goal is to help identify areas of restriction, support better mobility, and create more ease throughout the body.

She is passionate about helping people feel more comfortable, connected, and supported in their bodies. She values creating a welcoming space where patients feel heard, respected, and at ease throughout their treatment.

Outside of clinic, Aranniya enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, baking, and enjoying live music. She also loves continuing to learn more about health, movement, and the body.
